The Film
There's a particular kind of silence that happens backstage, ten minutes before a show, when a musician checks their phone and sees a photo of a kid's soccer game they missed. That silence is where this documentary lives. Come Worry With Us follows three touring acts across two years, tracing what happens when the tour bus and the minivan try to occupy the same life.
How It Came Together
We shot on the road — green rooms, gas station parking lots, kitchen tables at 6 a.m. before an early flight. No re-creations, no staged interviews under studio lights. The camera followed real routines: soundcheck, bedtime stories over video call, the long drive home when the tour finally ends. What emerged wasn't a story about sacrifice so much as one about rhythm — how families build their own version of normal around unpredictable schedules.
The Musicians
The film centers on artists at different stages of the same struggle:
- A songwriter balancing a solo career with co-parenting across three time zones
- A band navigating the first tour after becoming new parents
- A veteran performer teaching their teenage child to sound-mix from the wings
None of them offer easy answers. What they offer instead is honesty — about the guilt, the joy, and the strange comfort of knowing someone else understands the math of missing home.
